Building on 2007's exciting event with over 1,300 participants and approximately 3,000 people in attendance, it promises to be another exciting day with serious and social "throwers" from around Illinois and beyond. Participants will compete for cash prizes, along with other special awards. Spectators will enjoy music, delicious food and a festive atmosphere at this one day event. The event will take place Saturday, July 12th with four divisions competing - Competitive Doubles,Social Singles Divisions), Competitive Singles and Social Doubles in Soldier Field's South Parking Lot located off of Lake Shore Drive. Players are able to compete in multiple divisions - limited only to playing in respective divisions (i.e. Competitive Doubles players can only compete in Competitive Singles and vice versa). If you register for unlike divisions you will be defaulted from the tournament. This year’s contests will feature 2007 State Class 8A Semi-finalist Chicago Mt. Carmel led by NIU recruit quarterback Jordan Lynch against Chicago Public League Curie High School which has qualified for the Class 8 Playoffs two out of the last three years besides finishing second in the Chicago Public League Illini Conference in the first game starting at 10am. Catholic League contender Fenwick will play Chicago Public League Prep Bowl Runner-up Simeon in the second game scheduled with a kickoff at 1:30 pm. In the final game, Chicago Public League Pre-Season Favorite Morgan Park led by one of the nations top high school prospects in 5-star recruit Defensive end Craig Drummond will take on Chicago Catholic League powerhouse Brother Rice in a rematch of the 2006 Chicago Prep Bowl at 5:00 pm. Tickets can be purchased at the Stadium on the day of the event. Adults cost $10 and students cost $6.
